Peter B. Salamon

Peter Salamon is a pediatric and adult orthopaedic surgeon who has practiced in Stockton, California, for his entire career.

He grew up in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan Medical School. Following graduation from medical school, he did his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin. After residency, he spent a year doing a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in London, England.

He served two years on active duty in the United States Navy, including service as a medical officer in the submarine service.

In addition to his practice at Alpine Orthopaedic Medical Group, he is a Professor of children’s orthopaedic surgery at the University of California, Davis, where he cares for difficult problems in pediatric orthopaedic surgery.

His interests in adult orthopaedic surgery include problems with the foot and ankle, knee, and hip, but he cares for patients who have problems throughout the full range of orthopaedic surgery. He has extensive practice experience.

Each year he travels to places like Cambodia, Vietnam, Bhutan, Honduras, and Africa to teach Orthopaedic Surgery and provide care for children and adults.

He is board certified, and a member of many national organizations. These include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, the American Orthopaedic Association, and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
