Dr. Leung specializes in Hand Surgery; with some practice in General Orthopedics.  His special area of interest is in the diagnosis and treatment of all conditions of the upper extremity, from fingertips to below the shoulder. His expertise also covers upper extremity problems, including acute fractures and cut tendons or nerves. In addition, he treats more chronic problems, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, other nerve compressions, tendonitis, arthritis, chronic contractures and other deformities of the upper extremity. Earlier in life, Dr. Leung was interested in mechanical engineering, which he feels helps in his understanding of the mechanical principles of Orthopedic and Hand surgery.  He completed simultaneous Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his medical education at Mount Sanai School of Medicine. Dr. Leung completed his residency in general surgery and orthopaedic surgery at Yale University School of Medicine from July 1978-June 1983. website hosting information . Dr. Leung is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery. He has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. He is a member of the American Society of Surgery of the Hand.
