Dr. Winter was born in Germany and grew up in Northern California. He treats all types of orthopaedic injuries and specializes in joint replacement and sports medicine. He has served as the team physician for St. Mary’s High School for the past 15 years and enjoys working with young athletes. Dr. Winter received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Pepperdine University. He was awarded his Medical Degree from Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Winter completed his residency in Orthopaedics at University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Medical Center.
In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Winter currently serves on the board of directors of the Legislation Committee, and often speaks to lawmakers concerning medical legislation. Dr. Winter has also served on the Board of Directors in the California Orthopaedic Association.
He and his wife, Kristin are parents of four active children who are involved in many sports teams. In his free time, Dr. Winter enjoys attending their various sporting events, cycling and doing projects around his home.
